A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1 To amend Code Section 27-1-2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to game
2 and fish definitions, so as to revise the definition of "game fish"; to provide an effective date;
3 to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
5 SECTION 1.
6 Code Section 27-1-2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to game and fish
7 definitions, is amended in paragraph (36) by revising subparagraphs (G) and (H) and adding
8 a new subparagraph (I) to read as follows:
9 "(G) Pickerel:
10 (i) Chain pickerel;
11 (ii) Grass pickerel; and
12 (iii) Redfin pickerel; and
13 (H) Catfish:
14 (i) Channel catfish; and
15 (ii) Flathead catfish.; and
16 (I) Red drum."
17 SECTION 2.
18 This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law
19 without such approval.
20 SECTION 3.
21 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
